I am from Montpelier,
Ohio, and I fly the Fam-Lee Affair, a Cameron z-70 balloon.
I have had the desire to fly since I was old enough to know something
besides a bird could become airborn!

This dream was limited to model
airplanes, rockets, and other “projectiles” until 1996
when my cousin who had been flying fixed wing aircraft for years
decided to give ballooning a try. I then had the opportunity to
crew for him and i was instantly hooked on the sport of ballooning!
After almost 200 flights as a crew
member, it was time for me to obtain my pilot certificate. In 2003,
I flew to Albuquerque, NM and was awarded my certificate. When not
flying the balloon, I can be found at the hunt club, in the woodshop,
or at a car show with my 1930 model a sport coupe. My wife, grandson,
3 daughters, and 2 son-in-laws are my crew. |
