While this is the 35th Anniversary of The All Ohio Balloon Fest, I believe this is my 25th Anniversary of participating here in one form or another. That would include 21 years of flying a balloon here. I have also made Marysville my home for the last 16 years. Now that even includes a family with my wife Michelle and our two sons Tom & Scott. I have flown in multiple United States National Hot Air Balloon Championships with my best finish being fourteenth. These days we do less traveling and more flying in this area taking care of passengers and corporate advertising. Information can be found at www.flyohioballooning.com .
	Being the local, it is truly a pleasure to share the skies with so many balloons. The wonderful hospitality that Marysville shows to the balloonists is the primary reason that so many of the pilots enjoy coming here. This is seen as an event with the primary concern being just to have a fun, enjoyable experience. It is a pleasure to share this hometown feeling with all of the balloonists that come to participate, as well as to share the enjoyment of ballooning with my hometown. I would like to thank everyone involved with making The All Ohio Balloon Fest what it is, and especially in celebrating so many years of having the skies of Marysville full of balloons. I think that is what it is about for all of us.
